Eight years of self-portraits by Jamie King

Diary of a Schizophrenic brings together eight years of self-portraits by artist Jamie King. Together they become a moving visual diary of living with schizophrenia, told through paint.

The exhibition is part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival’s 20th year, exploring the theme of Reflections.

Jamie King first discovered painting while attending the art group at Bangour Village Hospital. Since then he has exhi

bited throughout Scotland, developing a practice spanning painting and sculpture. Diary of a Schizophrenic invites visitors to slow down, look closely and discover how the smallest changes can tell the biggest stories.
