Dundashill
O Street have been working with igloo over the past few years. Initially creating the Dundashill brand and launch materials, and more recently developing dynamic site plans, area maps and owner guides for a feature-rich sales website.
Dundashill will be a new place to live, defined by its landscaped streets and paths that stitch together spaces for the new community to enjoy—from play areas, shared gardens and viewing platforms to street art murals and a new central square.
The folks at PfP igloo (Places for People) are doing good work. As the UK’s leading responsible estate agent, they take a holistic approach to regenerative property developments—considering the long-term sustainable impact on communities and the planet.
When igloo originally approached us in 2018, we worked closely with their team to build a brand and identity that reflected both the emphasis on new community green spaces within the development and the industrial heritage of the area. Layering stone textures and tones alongside a landscape-inspired colour palette brought these physical elements together.
We rolled this identity out for the launch using our comprehensive brand guidelines. These feature rich natural colours, map contour lines, mono-spaced machine typefaces and lots of lovely concrete textures inspired by Dundashill’s industrial past.
Maltings Wynd is the second phase of development at Dundashill, delivered by PfP igloo (Places for People) and Housing Growth Partnership—an investor helping to address housing affordability. Built on a former industrial site near Glasgow city centre, these homes combine cutting-edge design with the latest sustainable technology and provide an opportunity for contemporary, low-carbon, urban living.
Working closely with the team at igloo to identify the key benefits and amenities, we presented these back as a complimentary suite of themed maps and infographics to guide potential buyers around the new homes and the wider location adjacent to north Glasgow’s revitalised canal.
You can explore the areas around Dundashill using the interactive maps on their website and keep an eye out for the newly developed Epochal brewery Tap Room!
‘It’s always a real pleasure to work with the team at O Street. It can’t be easy as creatives working with those from other sectors, but you bridge the gap deftly, and with some considerable charm. You also never let demands overwhelm the thing that makes you tick at all times—creativity. On this front, everyone at igloo was delighted with how you applied the brand to the materials required throughout the project. These all served to perfectly articulate and celebrate the DNA of this emerging new place.
From a brilliant website that looks great and functions equally as well, to subway ads that everyone seemed to see, through to making a technical manual user friendly, you’ve made a big difference to our delivery—bravo Team OS!’
