Continuing our apparel design with The Botanist, we worked with long-standing Scottish favourites The Tartan Blanket Co. to create a unique tartan woollen blanket for the collection.
The Botanist x The Tartan Blanket Co. collaboration joins two of Scotland’s much-loved change makers. Located on the remote Isle of Islay, Bruichladdich Distillery has its connection to land, local ecosystems and community at the forefront of its ethos. Similarly, The Tartan Blanket Co. aims to create a positive impact with its brand. They produce some of the finest, most comfortable scarves and blankets sustainably and ethically.
Inspired by The Botanist brand colour palette, we created a minimal tartan design using varying layered tones of grey wool and a punchy red highlight thread.
The picnic blanket was the perfect choice for The Botanist brand, providing their gin drinkers with a comfortable, cosy seat, no matter which patch of wild mountain heather they might choose to sit on!
We worked with the Tartan Blanket Co. design team to refine and craft the tartan construction. Experts in their craft, their input elevated the fabric creating a one-of-a-kind product for The Botanist.
To complete the package we combined The Tartan Blanket swing tag design with the distinctive Botanist botanical pattern, to sit comfortable alongside other collaboration labels within the distillery shop on Islay.
The result is a beautifully crafted product, uniquely designed for The Botanist, perfect for those cosy winter nights drawing in.
